Our client is a specialized international construction company which brings innovative products and new technologies on Romanian market.
General Purpose of the Job:
In order to strengthen the positioning on the Romanian market as well as achieving higher sales and turnover in the next years, our client needs a strong management professional to lead the team in the country and to implement the business development strategy for Romania, thus fulfilling the overall goals of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall Romanian operation and its results;
- Participates in the development of the business plan including specific goals, strategies and tactics and based on the overall group targets;
- Implements the strategy in line with the company’s guidelines and policy and strive for profitable growth of the business;
- Analyzes and identifies new business opportunities and develops win/win business relationships for potential new clients;
- Promotes the company’s core competence in NODIG-technologies through all available and suitable distribution channels;
- Increases the market awareness for the company’s technical solutions and services with our client being a pioneer and the leading specialist for pipe rehabilitation;
- Coordinates and supervises the preparation and participation in tendering processes, including EU/World Bank financed projects;
- Builds up and maintains excellent relationship to the relevant public authorities and other decision makers in the targeted business areas;
- Ensures professional and competent client/key account management;
- Cooperates closely with the technical teams on project development, planning and construction etc. and communicates productive feedback on project roll-out;
- Accompanies all phases of a project and keeps permanent close contact to the client to support and improve planning, construction and implementation processes;
- Works with line managers to develop the annual budget and business plan;
- Analyzes the competition (e.g. price strategy, merchandising measures, profitability, services/solutions offered, internal/external politics etc.);
- Maximizes the ability to sell/acquire new projects with clients/partners by pulling in the appropriate experts on either consulting projects or complex solutions where needed;
- Maintains a good, professional cooperation environment with the relevant state authorities in order to support obtaining necessary permits, authorizations, etc.
Requirements:
- University degree in economics or as engineer or comparable education;
- Solid and proven experience in sales/client management; preferably in engineering services in water/gas sector;
- Experience within international companies a plus;
- Project management expertise an asset;
- Technical skills and understanding;
- Very good networking and communication skills;
- Willingness to travel countrywide;
- Leadership competence;
